Hi all!
My name is Dana Nowak and I am the 3rd great granddaughter of Elijah and Seba Mattie Pell. They were Mormons who came to San Francisco aboard the ship "Brooklyn" in 1846, with their two daughters Hettie Cornelia and Geraldine Anne. Elijah was an advisor to Samuel Brannan and was later expostulated for "liscentious behavior". I would like to find their parents and Seba's maiden name. Family lore is that we are descended from one of the sons the Pell and his Indian wife, possibly Joshua Pell. I sure would like to hear from someone on this subject
