Hi,

I'm looking for information on Alexander Pelkey born 1783 in Quebec and wife Mary, they were born in Canada, lived in New York, then in Vermont and finally in New Hampshire.

These are the sons of Alexander Pelkey with his name as their father listed on their death certificates: Julius Pelkey of Rutland, Vermont (wife Matilda Billings; David Pelkey of Rutland area and West Swanzey, New Hampshire (married Emily Billings; Anthony Pelkey of Vermont and West Swanzey, New Hampshire (one marriage was to Mary Sophia Mark). Julius, David and Anthony were born in New York, all probably in Chazy.

My ancestor Edward Pelkey was born in Grand Isle, North Hero, VT in 1820 and is almost certainly the brother of the above mentioned men. Alexander Pelkey was living with Edward in 1870 in Iroquois County, IL, then Alexander Pelkey returned to New Hampshire to live with another son and he died there at about age 97.

Another son was Jeremiah Pelkey born in 1827 in Keeseville, New York, he married Delphia Draper, Jeremiah died in Will County, IL in 1869 and is buried in the same cemetery as my ancestor.

We are trying to find out who Alexander Pelkey's wife was, all we have is Mary, and we need more information on all these Pelkey men I have mentioned or anything else that might be helpful to tie this family together and to locate Alexander Pelkey's origins in Canada. Thanks a lot.
