Looking for any member of that family from Camaguey. I am a descendant of D. Francisco Pelaez and Lorenza Mexias. Francisco Pelaez was "Procurador General," and "Alcalde Ordinario" of the Villa of Puerto Principe. Their daughter, Maria Pelaez y Mexias, married my also ancestor, Francisco de la Torre y Cova.

Hello, my great-grandmother had a grandmother by the name of Tomasa Peláez of whom I do not know much but that she was from Camaguey (or the area). She married Pedro (Alcántara) Cordero. Are you able to tie her to the Peláez information you have?

Thanks,
Raul

I found this man in the History Archives of Trinidad Cuba. I stumbled upon his name while searching for my other side of the family. It said he was a labrador, he came to Trinidad from Spain as a labrador to do business in the 1800's he was not very young by the time he arrived however there has to be more info on him. He had beautiful hand writing too
