I am the granddaughter of a Joseph Pekar who came by ship in 1910 from Bohemia. He settled in Carbondale IL where my mother was born in 1915. Joseph wife was Marie Roessler also from Bohemia. If you have any ancestory on these two people let me know.

Where did Joseph Pekar's ship land? At Indianola (Galveston) Texas? One Joseph Pekar settled in Texas and had two or three wives. My grandfather Albert Pekar was one of the son's. They settled in Granger, Texas.

Would like any information you might have on Albert Pekar from Granger, Texas. He may have been my great grandfather. My family lived in Granger for a long time and I still have family there. I am starting on a family tree and would love to have information. My fathers name was Charlie Joe Pekar. I believe my great grandfather came from Czechoslovak.

I am one of Albert Pekar's grandchildren. His only Pekar grandchildren are my brothers and a sister. He is not your great-grandfather. He was born in the US. He died in 1969.

My mother is Linda Jenkins listed above. However, I also have the Pekar name on my husbands side. My husbands grandmothers sister is Lydia Jezisek who married Theodore Pekar. Her sister Margaret Jezisek married Joe Kaderka. All from Granger / Williamson County. We are in Dallas area. Any relations?

Unfortunately I never did know your husband's grandmother or her family. What info do you want? When I have time I will get it to you.

Any basic information you have would be great. For example your parents and siblings middle names, birth dates, birth location. Spouses information on your siblings and wedding information on your family. I am primarily tracking backwards, but I would love to have this information if you wouldn't mind sharing. Also if you have information on any of your mothers siblings or their children. Bob's (my husband) grandmother lives in Corpus Christi so it is difficult to get alot of information from her. Thanks for your help. Lisa (jaksik@excite.com)
