My paternal grandfather, Stanislaw Pekala, son of
Stanislaw Pekala and Marianna Pieczonka, was
born in Leke Gorne Poland in the 1880's. He later
changed his name to Stanley Penkala. He married
Anna Podraza in Chicago at St. John Cantius church
in 1905.

If this means anything to anyone in your family,
we would be pleased to get a response and to
share more information.

There is a branch by name of the Pekala's residing in both Pa and NJ.
I would only be guessing to say ther was any relationship but if you are aware of any additional information that any of your family resisded in either of the mentioned 3 states I would be glad to review any records I may have to search your tree.

And if you do not wish to do that than you and yours have a happy holiday.

My grandfather, Joe Pekala, lived in Pa. He was married to Rose Tognetti, they had 3 children, two boys and a daughter. He passed away in Nov. of 1984, and his wife followed in June of 1985. We are Slavic-Lithuanian / Polish. My Grandfathers sister, Renee Pekala, married a man last named Platukis. And she continues to reside in Pa., also. Any more info to this family would be wonderful. And I will gladly oblige w/ what I have in return. Thank You. Angel

Dear Angel:
In response to your message, while the family names that you mentioned also abounded in my family tree I can say with certainty there is no relationship. I am dissapointed that we could not match family history but wish you well in your search.

Thank You! I hope to eventually find the exact origin of this family. However, it is NOT a common name and yet this search is proving difficult! Good Luck to you also!
