Re: Jenkins family from MAS
Hi, I am related to Zachariah through my maternal grandmother. Her father was Myron Burr Jenkins, his Amos Lyndon Jenkins, his Amos Jenkins, his Zephaniah Jenkins, his John Jenkins, his Zephaniah, his ZACHARIAH, his John Jenkins. I understand that this John was born in 1626 in Wales and married Susanna Cooke in Sandwich Mass in 1645. They were Quakers . I am trying to find out something about the John from Wales???

Re: Jenkins family from MAS
Dear Susan, I do have John Jenkins (born 1626) will. His executor was Zacariah his son, who married Rebekah (Abiah) Allen. I do have info on her parents. I was trying to determine where John Jenkins was born and it looks like it was Wales. I have info on all of my Jenkins line. My father's mother was a Jenkins. I have not gone back to Waes to try to determine more info about John Jenkins. Let me know if you want a copy of the will. Isn't it interesting that we are both Susan. Sincerely, Susan LaFave

Re: Jenkins family from MAS
Hi Susan, Yes I would love a copy of the will. I have John's wife Susanna Cooke born in Boston in 1628. I have sketchy info that her father was John Cooke b 1602/07 Leydon Hall and mother Sarah Warren b1606/13 England. Sarah Warren's father Richard Warren came over on the Mayflower. Can't quite be sure of the connection. Do you have any info on Susanna? I would love any info you have on the Jenkins. I know that they were Quakers and left Mass to go to RI. I am glad to finally hear from someone! Sincerely Susan Anderson

Re: Jenkins family from MAS
Hi Susan, I have recently started in again on searching the Jenkins family and ran across this old post. You said that you have the will of John Jenkins and would be willing to send me a copy. Would you still do that? I would love to have a copy. Do you have any updated info on John or Susanna's parents or where John was born? US or Wales? I would appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks Susan Anderson

Re: Jenkins family from MAS
I am also searching the Susanna Cooke line. My children's line starts in Sandwich with John Jenkins. Would love to share any information as our Jenkins traveled into New Jersey, through New York and on toward "the West."

Re: Jenkins family from MAS
Hello JanetJenkins8283. I have some clear data and sources leading from John Jenkins and Susannah Cooke. I'm curious about the Jenkins branch that traveled to New Jersey, and have seen other posts on this. Was it Zephaniah Jenkins, born in 1740, died in 1800 in Washington NJ? If you have more data on him it could fill in a big missing link for my line. Any info on his Will? His brother, John (b. 1737 in Greenwich, MA) may have relocated to Springfield Vermont around 1790 after having two kids with Elizabeth Knap(p) in Dighton MA, in 1770 and 1773.
