LOOKING FOR PEGGS'ROOTS PRE-1750 IN PA OR EAST
|
Hi, JL, I'm looking for Samuel PEGGS' ancestory. He was 109 years old in the 1850 Census of Monroe County, Ohio, born in PA. I think he was the father or grandfather of Preston PEGGS, my husband's great-great grandfather. Preston was in that census, too, with his wife, Susanna. Preston and Susanna were married in Woodsfield, Monroe County, OH, in December, 1868. Three of there children were born there, too. Preston and Susanna moved to Tyler Co., WV , then to Wood County, WV. Then, one of their sons, Philip Henry Sheridan (as he was called in the 1870 Census of Monroe County, OH and by his birth record), who was married in Tyler Co., WV, to Malinda Belle SAMS, moved to Gilmer County, WV. That's where they both died in the 1940s. They were the parents of Henry Warren PEGGS, my husband's grandfather (died in Gilmer Co. in the late 1940s). Henry Warren was born in Wood County, WV in February 1893. For years I have looked for the ancestors of Preston PEGGS. By the way, PEGGS is English.

PEGGS-PA to KY to IN to CA
I'm interested in finding any connections to the descendants of JOSEPH PEGGS and NANCY CUNNINGHAM who married in Pennsylvania. They then moved to Kentucky, and their descendants moved on to Indiana.
Anybody out there? Let's talk!
