Where were your Pegden's from? I don't have Daniel in my database, but I'd be happy to look for him for you.

My family on my mother's side were Pegden from Folkestone; they were fishermen, but I don't know if there were any sons. The two I am aware of are William Pegden, who died in about 1897 in a fishing accident aged about 29, leaving a baby daughter, and his brother Daniel Pegden (Dan'l), who lived at least until the early 1950s.

As previously detailed my side from adisham and i have yet to link to Folkestone. Would certainly appreciate any detail of your two to aid that quest. My Daniel G was born 1867 and died 25/1/56 but he did not have a brother William. Dan's father, also Daniel (1827-1873) did have a brother of that name bn about 1815 but they were from Adisham.

If you can help would be appreciated

I've only just started tracing my own tree, but I have a connection with the Hull Pegdens, namely Ernest, Valerie, Brian & Ronald (all seemingly born in Hull around 1920) children of William Pegden (c1880-1961) and Cora Noble (c1880-1984).

I've also traced a bunch of this line into the Fylde area (which includes myself).

If anyone would like to swap notes, please email me at glenn@pegden.com
