Oops my last message may have been incomplete. I am a decendant of John Peever and Ellen Farmer who came to the Fitzroy area of Ontario where they went on to have over 10 children as well. My grand father Robert James came from Fritzroy as well. Robert moved to Saskatchewan in the early 1900's finally settling in Kinistno Saskatchewan. His wife was Margret Elizabeth (Kerr)?, their children were Eva, Martha, Harvey, Robert (Hartley), Ernest, Lyda, born in Sask James , Verna, Edna, Gertie,\. My father is James, I am his son Ivan.
My understanding is that Robert my grandfather came from a large family in the Powasson, Fitzroy area of Ontario. I have very little information on Roberts sibling, parents, etc so any information you can share would be greatly appreciates.
Thanks
Ivan Peever
ipeever@hotmail.com
906 Carr Cres
Saskatoon, Sk,
S7S1L9
306 343-7706
3060222-3739

I was told by my great grandfather that the name Peever was originally Van Veever, and that Van Veever was given an estate in North Ireland by William the Third Prince of Orange. Any information on this?
Too, would love more information. I only have info on John Peever and Ellen Farmer.
I know it has been a few years since you posted, but my great grandmother was Martha Pearl Peever who married Eric Foster Elliott in 1922. John Peever and Ellen Farmer were her great grandparents. I know this might be a long shot, but we are trying to find out what happened to their son Neil as none of his sisters know if he is still living. He would be around 90, his older sister is Iris Elliott. Sadly we did just lose one of his sisters before we could get any answers.

I am not expecting miracles, I would just like to close the book on him for the remaining siblings as the oldest is currently 92.

Thank you,

Kim Burns

Have you ever come across a Blasdell (or variant spelling) who married Lydia Andress/Andrus/Andrews or Lydia Palmer about 1811 - 1815. Location may be Prince Edward County, Ontario, or possibly in NY.

My ancestor, Lydia Palmer (daughter of Ebenezer Palmer and Elizabeth Bowerman) was born about 1775 and married William Andress. They had five children, the oldest - Palmer Andress, b. 1799 - is named in the Prince Edward County muster roll of 1822.

However, in Lydia's father's will which is dated 1815 she is named "Lydia Blasdale".

Have you ever come across a Blasdell (or variant spelling) who married a Lydia Palmer or Lydia Andress?

She was born about 1775 and married to William Andresss. They had five children between 1799 and at least 1810. The children are known to have lived in Prince Edward County (Bay of Quinte area) and Northumberland County, Ontario, by 1822.

In her father's 1815 will, Lydia is named as "Lydia BLASDALE", so I'm trying to figure out what happened to William Andress and when and where Lydia Palmer may have married a Blasdale. Any info on Blasdale's/Blasdell's in eastern Ontario would be appreciated.
My gg grandfather was Richard Peever the son of John Peever and Ellen Farmer of Farmers Bridge in Ballyseedy Ireland. He was married to Alice Bradley and had 12 children. He was born in Fitzroy Ontario in 1840 and Alice was born in 1852. James Peever was Richard's brother. I have pictures of both. They were all a close knit family and it is possible that they lived together. My gg grandfather died in 1916.

This is what I have on the Peever family. I have Richard Peever marrying Sharlotte Rea or Ray on 15 May 1889 in Torbolton which is very near Fitzroy. John son of Richard Peever and Sharlotee Rea or Ray was born in 1890. according to the 1891 census I have John Peever on census report it says he is a nephew to Richard Peever. It is possible he is a nephew to James Peever and that Richard is his brother. This is purely speculative at this time. I am drawing this conclusion since James Peever is head of household. It appears two families are living together.
