Looking for a John Peebles, who died by 1835, with a son William. John was probably born in Ireland. Any info appreciated.

Re: John Peebles - Pittsburgh PA
I have a Margaret Peebles who was the second wife of my Gr-gr-grandfather, James THOMSON (1772--1847). Date of marriage c. 1822 as a son, William Peebles Thomson was born in 1824, Pittsburgh,PA.
Margaret Peebles Thomson is buried in a family plot in the Allegheny Cemetery, Lawrenceville, Allegheny Co., PA, with son William and his two wives and several of their children.

Re: John Peebles - Pittsburgh PA
i'm hoping that this may be a clue about the parents of my gr-gr grandmother, rebecca thompson peebles smith. i am having great difficulty w/ this. she supposedly was born near pittsburgh in 1821; by 1839 was married in portsmouth oh. my guess is that she somehow came w/ john geddes peebles - i have wondered if she was possibly orphaned? however, the association of peebles and thompson in your family is interesting/

Re: John Peebles - Pittsburgh PA
I do have a couple of updates regarding the family of William Peebles THOMSON. He was born in 1822, Ross Township, Allegheny County., PA, which is in the north-northwest corner of Allegheny Co.
This leads me to believe that my second great-grandfather James THOMSON (1772--1847) married Margaret Jean ( have also seen this name used for her) PEEBLES , c. 1820.
Most likely they were Presbyterian. As far as I know there was only one issue to this marriage, and that was William Peebles THOMSON. William married twice; first marriage to Louise HOPEWELL and second to her sister, after her death to Emma HOPEWELL.
Nothing further to add.
Still searching for parents and ancestry of this Margaret Jean nee Peebles Thomson, and any descendants.
Thank you.
