Carol,
Here's the message I posted at the Peddie message board:

"I have an 1833 commercial letter that is signed by William Peddie & Co, from Montreal, Canada. I collected postal history and am now selling my collection to other collectors and writers, but I thought if anyone from the Peddie family was interested in viewing the letter you can see it at www.Vintageletters.com. From the Home page, click on "Old Documents", then "letters". It's several from the top. I hope someone can locate the family. I can make copies if anyone is interested. Thanks Tom Clark"
You can contact me directly at volks4@optonline.net if you have any trouble at the website. The letter has a reference # 07-17-1833. Thanks Tom
