The Pebworth/Pebsworth family reunion will be held at lake Texoma Resort, Kingston, Ok. or 13 miles west of Durant, Ok. on Hwy 70. At Catfish Bay in pavillan # 3. It will be July 9th & 10th 2004. Please make your reservations now by calling 1-800-528-0593 and please when makeing your reservations refer to the Pebworth/Pebsworth reunion spaces are reserved for us. You don't have to stay at the resort. There are places to stay in Kingston or Durant. If you plan on coming please email me dimmitt352@amaonline.com so we can plan for how many. Wade Pebworth and his family have a fish fry planned for us on noon Saturday. Friday evening we will have something planned so please come and bring photo albums and and thing else to share. Still looking for the parents and siblings of Richard Pebworth who married Susan B. Norris in 1819. I think Richard was in the War of 1812. Waiting for papers.

Richard and Susan had 2 children: Martha who m. Richard Land and James N. who was our ancestor. Susan d. between 1831 and 1834.

My ggreatgrandmother was Caroline Pebsworth, daughter of Henry and Patsy. My ggrandmother was Mahaly Jordan White, My grandmother was Willie Ann White Lehew. My grandmother was on the Choctaw roll.

I think Caroline is buried in Ark. She married Samuel Jordan..My ggrandmother was their daughter, Mahaly, she married James White in Ark. I havent been able to find out what happened to them, but my grandmother was orphaned at a young age, and was in Okla. when she married Isham Lehew, my grandfather. Her name was Willie Ann.. I have some information on the Pebsworth/Patsy McCan marriage. Henry's son John had several sons and daughters. one of John's sons was named William Marshall. William Marshall married Emma Francis Thomas and they had three sons. Rosco, Jepthar (Bud) and Marshall. William Marshall died and Emma married James Samuel Barnes, and had two sons Arthur McKinley Barnes (m y father-law) and Clifford Barnes. Somehow all the family left Clark County, AK and ended in and around the area of Bennington OK. My e-mail address is fayeb925@aol.com. From the info that I have Patsy McCan was the indian blood and the Pebsworth boys ended up with roll numbers. If you want more info. Please contact me. I am looking for the Barnes side of this.

Hi,can you tell me what happened to Roscoes brother,Jepther?What section of the Old Church cemetery is Roscoe buried?I have a few relativies buried there.William Marshal was a first cousin to my great grandmother,Nancy Pebworth Karr.She is buried at Blanchard.I live in Noble,Ok.This is the first time I have found someone that lives in OK that knows about the Pebworth/Pebsworth.I have a copy of a family tree I got at the OK Historical Society in OKC if you want a copy.I have two other people to send it too.

Hi! I just called my dad and asked him about Jepther and he said that he knew Jepther as Uncle Bud. He said that he passed away, but he did not know what year. He said that he lived near Lubbock, Texas.
Dad said that he didn't know what section Papa was buried but he said that it was about middle ways on the extreme west side against the fence. Dad said that he could take you to it easier than tell you. I hope that helps you a little.
Dad said that he remembers Papa talking about the Karrs he said that we have some pictures. I need to sit down with my Dad and go through pictures and get copies made. I'll try to do that pretty soon.
And yes I would love to have a copy of the family tree, if it's not too much trouble, thank you very much. If you have any more more questions I would be more than happy to try and find out as much as I can. Thanks again!

Hi, I got your message. My daddy is James E. Pebsworth. He is next to the youngest. Daddy, Jerry, and Shirley live here in Boswell. My Aunt Vera Mae comes down about every weekend. She has a weekend home in Boswell. My Uncle Buddy lives in Bristoe, Ok. I don't get to see him very often.
I spoke with my dad and he said that Emma was burried beside Papa Peb " Roscoe" In Bennington at the old Church. He has a marker. Daddy said that he could take you right to it. He said that Marshall is also buried out there but in a different spot.
I told dad that you were looking for Clifford. He said that he has not seen Clifford since he was a kid. I asked him if he knew where Clifford used to live and he said somewhere in Texas. He thinks that Clifford has probably died, but he does not know that for sure. He said that Author used to live with them and he remembered that Author had one son and he was just crazy about him. Daddy wanted me to ask you if you were married to Author Jr. He said that he thought that was his name.
Any way dad said that he was pretty sure that he had pictures of them even Clifford. Where are you from? I was thinking that I may try to go through those pictures and have some copy's made to send to you.
In the mean time I'll ask my Uncles and Aunts about the Barnes. Dad said he didn't know to much about them.

Thank you so much for responding. With Jaunita Moore I show five children by that marriage. Vera, Buddy Raymond, Jerry Kenneth, James Edwin and Shirley Ann. Which person are you related to????I found Ethel and Lucille 10 years ago. I was corresponding quite regularly with Ethel's daughter, Glenda. Ethel passed a couple of years ago, but I do believe that Lucille is still alive. Lucille lives with Billy Max in Marysville.

I am actually looking for Roscoe's half-brother, Clifford Barnes. Born in Arkansas in 1902 to Emma Pebsworth Barnes and James Samuel Barnes. Emma was my father in-law's mother also. Arthur M. Barnes was my husbands father. Arthur died in 1978. Emma passed in 1948. I know she is buried in Bennington Cemetary, but we were there and could not find her marker. I waited too late to start my search for family.Everyone has passed. If your father or uncles know of the whereabout of any of the Barnes, could you please let me know. We are coming back to OK soon. We were coming again in October and then all hell broke loose, so we haven't decided when we are going.

William "Roscoe" Pebsworth was my Grandfather, "Papa Peb." I am 34 and he passed away when I was only 2, so I don't remember him. I live in Boswell, Ok. and so does 3 of Papa's children by his 2nd wife Juanita, my Granny Peb, who passed away about 13 years ago at the age of 80. I'll be glad to answer some questions for you, if I can't I'm sure my Daddy can.

Hi there! John Pebworth was Caroline's brother. He is also the son of Henry and Patsy. He had a son (not his oldest) that he named Henry, after his own father obviously. I show Caroline was born in 1831. Is that correct? Don't know where or who she married. John was born in 1835. He ended up in the Choctaw Nation in OK (Indian Territory then). He married 4 or 5 times. Where did Caroline end up? Brigette

Was your mother's name Ophelia?I do not have Willie Ann White Lehew application for enrollment,but it list Flyod and Ophelia as her children.Most all of these people lived around Curtis Arkansas at the time the applications for enrollment were taking.I don't know if the old cemeteries around Curtis has any records or not.Henry and Patsy are buried there.At the time the applications were taking it list Caroline,Mahala dead.That was around 1903.Willie Ann White was 23 at the time and married to Isham G.Lehew.you can e-mail me direct, misschoc@angelfire.com

I am a little confused as to reservations. Who do we make the reservations with?
I am soooooo excited to come, but a little confused as to how to get there from Missouri and how to make res. and with whom.
I am going to try my hardest to get my father to go with me, he recently will be moving to Ok, where all his family is, from Arizona. He told me little of my relatives and who I am related to and how. He once asked me not to go to the reunion a time ago, he did not want me to get hurt or something. I want to go now. Please help me to understand how amd where and anything else. My ggg grandfather was henry Pebsworth.
