Arkansas/Tennessee - John Franklin Pebley

I'm a historian and I'm gathering biographical material on the mining prospectors and pioneers of early Washington Territory/State era.
John was born on 30 Mar 1853 in Arkansas and died on 1 Nov 1929 and buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Deming, Washington. His parents were both born in Tennessee. I'm looking for his family's background.
I would appreciate any assistance you may give me in filling out John's biography.

John Franklin Pebley is my maternal grandfather. I am named after him! My mother, Mamie, was his 5th born (of 7) child. Grampa dug a mining shaft at the base of the hill behind the hay field. I remember exploring said tunnel as a kid. Grandpa exhibited coal and other objects I don't recall, at the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition in Seattle in 1909.

I'd be happy to assist you in any way I can. Would appreciate receiving what biographical info you've written.

My great-grandfather was Charles Hatton who prospected for gold in the Mt. Baker mining district along with his sons. One of whom is my grandfather, James, who operated a livery stable in Maple Falls and married the daughter of the town founder, George King. Charles filed a homestead claim in Welcome.
Your grandfather was one of the investors in a few claims filed by my ggrandfather. There is a picture of him in the Whatcom Memories book at the Deming Library. My 2nd great-grandmother Cynthia Winters Hicks is also buried at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Deming.
Sometime in the future, I plan to write biographies on the prospectors during the gold rush era in Whatcom County. I've compiled records from deeds and census about your grandfather and I would like to include some family history about the Pebleys. I am willing to share info with you. As a personal hobby, I am collecting information about the people buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery. I have John's obit and a photo of his grave marker. I'd be very interested in trading info on the Pebleys.

I am a descendant of Thomas Franklin Pebley, Sr. who was born in Cocke county, TN 21 May 1797. I believe Thomas to be the son of Jeremiah Pebley, who was the son of John Pebley.
Do any of my Pebley's connect to your Pebley line? What part of Tennessee did John Franklin Pebley's parents come from?
Any information who be appreciated.
