I have found where our James Peacock orginally had a daughter, Jane, sons James and Joseph. Jane must have died in England while Joseph died enroute to America. They arrived in Boston, MA. James' father was James Peacock, Sr. and his mother was Ann unknown both born ca 1786. They were living in 1841 in Kirton in Holland, Boston, Algarkirk, Lincolnshire, England. James and Alice (Clifton) Peacock lived in 1841 or '51 in Butterwick, East Fen, Lincolnshire, England. They had at least two children that survived into adulthood, John "Jack" Peacock and Alice Ann (Peacock) Spencer Caplinger. James and Alice would first settle near Phillipstown, Phillips Township, Illinois about 2 miles southwest of Phillipstown on a wooded high bluff overlooking rich bottom land that would flood from the Little Fox and Wabash River Valley each year making for fertile soil. John "Jack" and Alice married into Graves, Spencer, Ackerman, Brothers, Sanders, Kern and Stanley families near Crossville, Phillips Township, White County, Illinois. Other offspring were McKnight and Lamar families.
