We are looking for information on an Irish cooper John Peacock or Peacocke and wife Abigail Brittain who emigrated from St. John, NB to New York City on the brig pj Nevins with children Letitia, Mary Ann, Isabella, and John in 1833. They may have been married in 1825 in St. John. They were protestant.
John and Abigail Peacock lived on the lower east side in New York City and had more children, including Abigail, Thompson B., and Josephine Adelaide. They may have been related to cooper James Peacock and his wife Mary Jane Brittain who were married at Old Trinity in St. John, NB in 1822 and remained in St. John.
