Didn’t see anything in any previous posts about my Peacock line. William N. (ca. !804-1870-ish) was born in Scotland and appeared on the 1850 census in Montgomery Co. NC. He and wife Ann’s (need her maiden name) children were Robert W., William M., Flavius M. (my g-g grandfather), E. Caroline, Frances A., Olivia M., Mitchell, Augusta Edward, Leon Knox, and Clamanger Derbein.
William, Ann, and family moved to Madison Co. Florida, appearing on the 1860 census. But nothing after that. He was a farmer and a Presbyterian minister.
Flavius and wife Rebecca/Emma McKenzie appeared on the 1870 census in Lowndes Co Ga., and on the 1880 census in Brooks Co. Ga., though Rebecca/Emma was not on the latter. Their children were Samuel, Jessie, Hallie, Dickey, Quincy, James B. (my gr-grandfather), and H.W.
I have some info on James and his sister Hallie, but nothing beyond 1880 on his father and mother. Anybody out there related to me that can fill me in? I’m particularly interested in finding out where William N, his wife Ann, Flavius and wife Rebecca/Emma are buried, and info about their lives.
