Hello Erica:

My Great (x4) Grandfather Thomas G. Peachey (1794-1864)
A White a slave owner, had a son with a female slave, she gave birth to Thomas Peachey (1815-1895)
He had a son William Peachey (1838-1898)
He had a son -
Thomas Jules Peachey (1868-1947) (Mulatto and Seminole Indian)

I'm looking for Thomas G, Peachey's birth place (1794-1864).

All 9 of the Peachey's on that side of my family came to Galveston Texas in the 1920's. My Grandmother, Bessie Peachey moved my Dad and Aunt to San Francisco in the 1930's.
She was the first Black woman to open a fashion boutique (The Slender Mode) in the famed Fillmore Jazz District.

Good Luck with your search.

I am interested in pursuing your roots back to Thomas Griffin Peachey of early Virginia. I have just written a historical novel that features this Peachey family going back to England and its history in colonial Virginia. If there was a slave who had a Peachey child, I want to know about it. I can show you in the book how the Griffin name came into the Peacheys. John H. Peach
