I think I can help you. I have over 75 Pea family members in my line so far. My great grandmother was Susie Jane Pea. You can view some Pea obits and other documents at my website www.invudesigsn.com/mullins/ or email with names that you may be looking for. My website doesn't have my GEDCOM on it yet. My Pea line is mostly from VA - PA - KY - IN- IL- MO- WA. This is not the exact order since they went seperate ways. My direct line ended up in Cowlitz county Washington. Let me know how I can help.

Have you corresponded with David Newman? He an I are related to Nancy Pea, daughter of George Pea. There are several Pea (y) researchers at this time.

Hello all... another Pea member here. I've sent emails to those of you stating who you're related to. I'm directly descended from Jacob Pea(1831) and Mary Hastings. Terry (who replied above) is my uncle. I do have Mullins on my descendancy list, only as Living Mullins, so I'm guessing Linda is the descendant of William GroveraCleveland Mullins.

I just do not know who Nancy or George Pea are related to. Do you have birth years or a lineage tree I can see? Also, for Irvin Pea, is this the same who married Diana Catt? If so, I can connect that person in our tree as well. =)

Hope to hear from you Pea family members. Looking to see exactly what part of the world Jacob Pea (b.1745, m. Rachel Maquinet) came from.

Happy hunting! If you wish to see my Jacob Pea (1745) Descendancy listing, let me know and I'll email you what I have so far.

Hey Richard,

There are two separate and distinct Pea families in USA.

Jacob Pie changed the spelling of his name to Pea in order to retain the pronunciation from either his French or German ancestry. His family moved around Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Illinois.

George was from a family I believe was named Pease and the name changed a couple times before settling on Pea. They mostly originated in Indiana. We (you and I) are not related to this family.

Linda Mullins is indeed your cousin. I've worked with her many years ago.

Keep on hunting. You're doing a great job.

Uncle Terry

I'm interested in the Pea families that were found in Rush County, Indiana. There were quite a few of them and they tended to stay put, mainly in Rushville, Rush County throught the 1850s to 1900s

Is it possible their surname may have been Pease?
