Could you tell me where you found the information about the ship Thomas, and William being aboard it? I have Pea family genealogy but it does not go back to the 1600's.

I ran across a John G. Pea who was on the same steamship returning from California in search for gold when I was researching my g,g,g, grandfather. If you think he is related I have a copy of the letter from the State of Louisana telling how they died at sea and was also buried at sea. They had in their possession gold dust and/or gold coins. So sounds like they found gold. They became sick of the Chagres Fever, a form of Malaria. They buried them at sea near Key West Florida on their way to New Orleans port.

Jacob Pea's descendants can communicate together at http://z15.invisionfree.com/PEAFamily/

This Jacob is believed to have been the son of Huguenots from France or Germany named le Pie.
