Hi, My name is Wanda, and I'm married to Ronald Pea whose father's name was Archie C. Pea and he has a brother named Archie M. Pea,whose wife is named Angie. My husband's family live near Hammond, La. We live in Baton Rouge, La. There are some other Peas that live here, but are no relation to my husband's family. It's so strange that there are so few of Peas, yet not too many are related.(lol)

Daniel Elisha was son of Sylvester Pea and Nancy Dowell. Sylvester was a son of Daniel Pea. My husband's family is in this line (Sylvester's brother William is my husband's gggrandfather). Do you have pictures of any of the other relatives of Daniel E.? If so we would like to see them. Also, if you would like to have any of the information that I have, e-mail me at mmyhre@quik.com

Hi Fellow Searcher! I am not clear as to which family you are researching. Please let me know. I do have information on both the Steele's and Pea's. Have met part of the extended Pea family through the internet, and found some living only a few miles from me, and we have gotten acquainted. It is a small world with the internet. Will be happy to share anything I have that would be useful to you. I did not have your e-mail, so posted my reply here. Pat

Hello, I have William Steele md. to Mary Darwin Pea in 1840 shelby County, Illinois. Mary died before 1850 census, three children born before then, james, susan and martha. 1850 census I have found William with the three children yet I think that their maternal grandmother was helping to raise them, because I found on the same census that one of the neighbors for William was a Morning Pea who told the census worker that she was living with one son aged 21 and the three young ones, James, Susan and Martha Steele also. Pretty certain that the children were the same children. So my question is to everyone out there in cyberspace: Who is this Morning Pea? Is it for sure Mary Darwin Pea's mother? And does anyone have the info on this family group that I am looking for? I have been looking for the family in other census records. 1820 St. Clair Co., Illinois census , listed two Peas, James and John as heads of households, one possibly the husband of Morning Pea. 1830 St. Clair Co., Illinois census, Morning Pea listed as a head of household, now widowed?, with 2 males under 5 years of age, 1 female between the ages of 5-10, 1 females between the ages of 15-20, 1 female between the ages of 30-40 (herself). 1840 St. Clair Co., Illinois had a Morning Pix listed of Ancestry.com, yet the actual page was too blurry to make out the listing. and then the 1850 Census with Morning Pea, son Pea, 21, James Steel, 9, Susan, 6, and Martha 3. That is my complete research info that I have. Please anyone help me fill in the missing pieces. Thanks.

Hi...John Steele, Jr. was my great great grandfather. His first wife was Susanna Jackson, and his second wife was Elizabeth Pea and they had 9 children. Susanna and John had 6 children which included William, born in 182l, who married Mary Darwin Pea born 1824. Sounds confusing, I know and this is just from some notes I had. They typed information I have, I will have to check for accuracy. However, just had double cataract surgery, and will not get my glasses until next week. I will check things out then, and share anything I have. We have not been able to connect Elizabeth and Mary Darwin (different generations) but havn't given up. Looking forward to hearing from you again.
