On behalf of my mother(Bertha Moreno) & myself, I am just beginning to try and find out about my maternal ancestry. I'd really like to know what Pueblo tribe my ggrandmother, Margarita Pena, came from, also her register #. I have a copy of a document from Sherman Institute, Riverside Ca. which states she attended, along with her sister Sara, in 1904. It also states that she was full-blooded Pueblo. Since there are a few different tribes of Pueblo I am not sure which one she is from, I am guessing Tigua, but then again I have a Photo of her in an Apache dress. She was raised in El Paso Tx. where she married Jose Moreno. Her mother's name is Juanita Pacheco from Las Cruces NM. Anyone who could help lead me in the right direction would be most appreciated.
