This name is pretty rare in Nottinghamshire, England, so I was surprised to find that there are loads of us!!! Here, people seem to think it is Taylor, so I don't know about you guys, but we had to say "Taylor with a P!" My grandad, Albert Leslie Paylor came down to Hucknall during World War II from a village called Stokesly in North Yorkshire. It seems that there are loads of Paylor's with the North Yorkshire/Whitby origin. It would be great to find out a bit more about the history of the Paylor's.
