hi i know you posted this 10 years ago but if you are still online with ancestry i would love to hear about our family. my great grandfather was john payea. his son (my granddad) alfred passed away before i was born and my nan cut herself off from the family so had no idea about alfred until i was 16. i am currently researching the payea side but it is a little overwhelming as there were so many children on each generation.
i hope you are still on here and look forward to hearing from you

Hi all, I am the son of Hazel Payea, whose mother was Lena Payea who lived in Kingston. My mother had two brothers (Bill and Arthur) and two sisters (Clara and Margareet). Lena was a chef in Kingston at a restaurant called the Princess Restaurant. When she was young, my mother moved to Toronto to live with her father (Harry Anthony) who was married to Lena for some period of time. What is interesting is that today I found a new first cousin, Elizabeth Payea who happened to be an NLP instructor for my wife. Pure chance. I don't know a lot about the Payea side of my ancestry, so any info would be interesting. My mother Hazel is 90 years old.
