Dalton Paul Paxson, Sr.

RATLIFF CITY, OK: Dalton Paul Paxson, Sr 68 of Ratliff City, Oklahoma, formerly of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.

Dalton was born on April 9, 1945 in Zanesville, Ohio.
He graduated from Zanesville High School in 1963.
He served in the US Army from 1969 until his retirement in 1989.
He then owned and operated a small engine repair shop in Ratliff City.

He is survived by his wife, Naomi who he married March 10, 1973; his son Dalton Paul Jr. (Rita) of Mansfield, Ohio, daughter Starr Richmond of Westerville, Ohio, son John (Jeannine) Paxson and daughter Samantha (Bobby) Long of Duncan, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother Donald (Amy) of Mesa, Arizona, brother Kenneth (Sharon) of Newark, Ohio; sisters Patti (Gerald) Clossman and Ruth (Ron) Allen of Zanesville, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parent, Orville and Edith Paxson.

ZANESVILLE: Kenneth O. Paxson, 83, of Newark, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Licking Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Zanesville, Ohio on April 12, 1932 to the late Floyd Orville and Edith Howell Paxson.
Kenny loved the outdoors. He enjoyed sitting on the porch with his family, taking rides, and roasting hot dogs.

He enjoyed sitting with his wife Sharon on the patio with the fire glowing.

He retired from Kaiser Aluminum after 43 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Newkirk Paxson of the home; three daughters, Cheryl (Delbert) Moody of Zanesville, Ohio, Terrian Paxson and her life partner Diana Colburn of Newark, and Tia (Ray) Slack of Zanesville, OH; two sons, Orville (Martha) Paxson of Dresden, Ohio and Kenny Daniel (Lisa) Paxson of Zanesville; two stepsons, Brian (Leslie) Newkirk of Granville and Brad Newkirk of Florida; a stepdaughter, Missy (Tim) Berry of Kentucky; a brother, Donnie (Amy) Paxson of Arizona; two sisters, Patti (Gerald) Clossman and Ruth Ellen (Ron) Allen of Zanesville, OH; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Naomi Paxson of Oklahoma.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Dalton Paxson; a granddaughter, Melissa Rush; and his first wife, Juanita Grubb Paxson.

Private family graveside services will be held at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.(Muskingum County, Ohio)

Floyd Orville Paxson, 72, of 832 Dryden Rd., Zanesville, Ohioretired employee of Brockway Glass died at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday in Good Samaritan Medical Center.

He had been ill for three years and retired from Brockway Glass after 43 years of service.

Born April 27, 1905, in Crooksville, Ohio, he was a son of William and Mary Allen Paxson
. Mr. Paxson was a member of Community Faith Tabernacle.

Surviving are the widow, the former Edith Howell; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Bozman of Potts Ln., and Mrs. Gerald (Patricia) Clossman of 5075 Foxfire Dr.; three sons, Donald of the home; Kenneth of Newark, Ohio and Dalton of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Verna) Adams of 1171 Musselman Dr.; one brother, Vilas of 814 Westbourne Ave.; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in DeLong and Baker Funeral Home, Zanesville, Ohio.
