I realize that I am replying to a very old post, but I recieved a book of writings and some details of the life of James Walter Paxman, compiled by LaMar Paxman, his gradson. I am the great-great grandaughter of James Walter Paxman. I am 23 and live in Washington. The earliest name of a Paxman in this book is Robert Paxman from late 1700's who is James walter's great-great grandfather.

Hi. Im a paxman. Im 23 and live in Washingtion. Just wondering if we are from the same line. My gradfather was James Carter Paxman, Greatgradfather was Clarence, and greatgreat was James Walter. What are your grandparents names?

Hi Washington Paxman,
Here's my lineage along with yours:
You (Amelia, b. 16 Dec 1983) Craig Paxman Your father (Alan James, I assume) W. Rulon Paxman James Carter W. Monroe Paxman Clarence WRH Paxman(brothers) James Walter William Paxman William Paxman
That makes us 3rd cousins, once removed.
In March 2005 I spoke with your uncle, Wade, who gave me the genealogical information for the James Carter Paxman family, but some of it is incomplete.
I've been gathering Paxman ancestry and descendancy information since about 2002. There are about 10,400 RELATED Paxmans in the database.

Hi Nanny Val,
Enjoyed reading your email response to Collette. Wondering if you and I are related. Here’s my line back to about 1700 – Craig, b. 1941 Rulon Monroe William Reed Horizon (WRH) William, b. 1835 in Colchester, Essex, England James Robert Robert William, b. abt 1700, of Framlingham, Suffolk, England. Md. Susannah Tunmer.
Since 2002 I've been researching Paxman ancestry AND descendants. There are about 10,400 related Paxmans in one database - that is, they are all related to me in some way. In another db there are about 6,000 other Paxmans, whose relationship to me has not yet been determined. In some cases, there are groups of up to 800 who are related to each other - just not to me.
Please send me a list of your Paxman ancestors, beginning with yourself and your parents. Include name, date and place of birth. We’ll see what matches turn up. I might be able to add to what you have, and vice-versa.
Have a great day.
Craig W. Paxman

Hi again Amyk,
I know LaMar. He and my dad grew up in Provo. The Robert you mention, married to Mary Hudgson (Hudson), has parents William Paxman and Susannah Tunmer.
There are two other marvelous Paxman books out there. One was written by my uncle, Monroe J. Paxman, of Provo. It treats all the children of William Paxman and his four wives, along with William's ancestors. (That’s 22 children.)
The other book is by Andrew Phillips of Colchester, England. It details the lives of William and his brother, James, of steam engine fame, their common ancestors, and the extremely Divergent biographies of William and James.
Look forward to hearing from you.
