The earliest event in my family tree is this mariage
1746 Lankshear, Thos of Caswell & Paxford, Mary of Caswell.
Caswell Farm is near Curbridge near Witney in Oxfordshire England.
Does anyone have any connections or information on Mary Paxford or Thomas Lankshear
TIA Ron

Hi Debbie Great to hear from you
Of course my Mary is a long while before your gf but the Paxford name seems to be rarer than Lankshear so I assume Mary was maybe a great aunt of Percy.
I have been collecting various Paxford details which I have at this site.

You can reach me on ronlank@yahoo.com.au
I hope we can push the Paxford line back before 1746 as also Lankshear.
Let me know what data you have on Percy (Jack) and if we can tie him in to my Paxford's .... Ron

My Paxford line goes back to Curbridge near Witney, to Thomas Paxford b 1779, and it looks like we go back from there through a few Thomas' to Thomas Paxford b 1620. If you have got anything I would be very interested.

Hi Chris

I'd love to see your details of Thomas from 1779 back to 1620.

I must get back to my Paxford line. I collected a fair amount of data but nothing conclusive. I have my Mary as baptised 1724 with father Thomas. And I'm supposing Thomas was baptised in Witney in 1673 and presumably his father Thomas was the one baptised in 1645. But I can see no marriages. CD says for Curbridge events prior 1847 use Witney.

I'd love to see your details of the Thomas from 1779 back to 1620.

Hi just noticed your thread and family line. Our line also goes back to Thomas 1779 and in fact prior to that to Thomas born 1645. My husband's Grandmother was Winifred Paxford. Any info you have would be great. Kindest regards
Ellie
