I am researching the John W. PATTERSON and Nancy Matilda SCROGGINS family of Pike Co. Missouri. They are my 2rd great grandparents.
This is what I know of the family:
John W. PATTERSON was b. abt 1840, in Louisiana Pike,MO. he died bef. 29 Oct.1869. Nancy Matilda (not Martha) Scroggins was identified as wife of John W. Patterson in Pike co. Missouri Estate Documents of 22 Oct 1869.

WIFE:
Nancy Matilda SCROGGINS b. in 1847 in Pike Co. Missouri. the daughter of Lorenzo D. SCROGGINS and Sarah Catherine ??. Nancy died in 1913. John and Nancy were married 9 July 1863 Pike Co. MO.

CHILDREN:
1. Missouri Helen PATTERSON b. 6 Jun 1867 Pike Co MO.

2. Hugh Willard PATTERSON b. 12 Mar 1869 Pike Co. MO. died 13 Nov 1948 in Anaconda, Deer Lodge Montana. Hugh married Genora (Nora) ALLEN, daughter of John E. ALLEN and Emily STOUT on 11 Oct 1888 in Pike Co. MO. Genora was b. 5 Oct 1872 in Louisiana, Pike Co MO. and died 9 Oct 1950 in Anaconda Montana.

We are trying to find John W. Patterson parents and more about the Scroggins family. If any one can help I would be please to hear from you and will be glad to share what I do have on the family, which at this point is mostly descendants.
