The descendants of Gideon & Mary (Vining) Parkman will be gathering for the 85th annual reunion of the Parkman Family Association on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at the American Legion Hall, 47 Maple Street, Corinna, Maine. The social hour will begin at 11:00 with a potluck lunch at 12:00 noon (please bring a dish to share). After lunch there will be a brief business meeting, entertainment & an auction (members are asked to bring one item for the auction). The first meeting of Gideon and Mary's descendants was held in 1923 organized by Orin Alonzo Parkman. Gideon & Mary were married 1734 in Weymouth, Massachusetts and had five children; Noah, Betty/Betsey m Solomon Clark, Daniel m. Hannah House, Rhoda m. Samuel Whitman & Mary m. Micah Pratt, Jr. We welcome all descendants of this family. If you have never attended we look forward to meeting you and if you have attended previously we look forward to seeing you again.
