Josephine Parada-Roske (View posts)

Justyna,
My father was born and raised in Poland. He first lived in Lisno and then later on his family moved to Slupsk. He came to Canada in 1952. My father and I went back to Poland to visit relatives last year.
I know that my grandfather's name was Walter Parada and my grandmother's name was Josephine (Adumchick sp) Parada. I also learned that my great grandfather moved away from Poland and went to Portugal (so the relatives think). My grandfather Walter Parada was last seen when my father was 12 years old and no one knows for sure if he died in a concentration camp or if he survived and escaped from the war. My family believes that their father was killed at the Majdanek Concentration Camp but are not sure. I hope I have helped someone with my response. Also one of my relatives in Poland, Danuta has started a family tree, and has a bit of information.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Charlie: Saw your Parada Surname Message Board data. I found out that the name is not Parada, but POrada. I visited the Ellis Island Records and there is an Ivan Porada, that was our grandfathers' father. I'm doing a little research myself. If I find out anything I'll let you know
