Re: anyone need Paquin info??
My father;s name was Arthur J. Minor - he was the son of Julia Pacquin and I believe Arthur Minor, He was born in Germfask Michigan in 1918. Soon after his birth his mother died and all children were scattered. I have been able to find two cousins, but no siblings. My father passed away in 1998
Please contact me and I will search the brief records I have on his family

Re: anyone need Paquin info??
A note on
"2 Damien-Jean-Jacques Paquin b: November 02, 1838 in Maskinonge, PQ d: in Montreal, PQ +Josephine Godin-Lamothe m: May 17, 1871 in Cathedrale de Montreal, PQ" (see end of the list of descendants).
I believe they are not the parents of Jean-Baptiste, Omer-J, Celine, Henry, and Emelie Paquin. Omer-Joseph is my wife's grandfather. The information I have about this family is as follows:
Damien Paquin, b 28 Dec 1844 (according to his naturalization record, Lincoln RI), d bef 1927 (when his widow Josephine is listed in Dunham's Lincoln Directory). He and Josephine Gobin (not Godin) were married in 1866 in Putnam CT, not in Montréal in 1871. Damien, a carpenter, emigrated in March of 1859, Josephine emigrated also in 1859 (1900 census).
According to records in the Pawtucket (RI) City Hall, Damien's parents were Paul and Marie, not Jacques and Esther (Lebrun) Paquin. Damien was a brother of Pierre Paquin, whose family also lived in Rhode Island (Central Falls and Pawtucket).
More work needs to be done to verify who are the parents of Damien Paquin, and of Josephine Gobin.

Re: anyone need Paquin info??
Adolphus & Zoe were also my great grandparents. Spencer Clark, their grandson, was my father's father. My name is Chris Clark Hadley and I live in California. I've just joined ancestry.com so I'm just getting started. I have a lot of information in my grandmother, Louise LaPorte Clark's own handwriting. I would love to share what I have and learn more.

Re: anyone need Paquin info??
Hello ;) I believe this may be my maternal great grandmother. I am kinda new at this...but it is thrilling to find information. Julia committed suicide, per oral history, and left Katherine (my gram), Joseph and one other child....apparently the children went to orphanages. Maybe Allegen Orphanage in Michigan? Not sure where the others two went but I do know my gram looked until she passed and had such love for them. She married Oscar Edgar Owen and had Marian, Lawrence, Patrick, James, Lynda, Julia, Eileen, Dennis.

Re: anyone need Paquin info??
Hi. ..Kathryn is my grandmother. ..my father is her youngest son Dennis, I had always been told my grandma was one of three girls, her mother passed from the flu, and her father was killed working on the railroad. I had been told all the girls were put in an orphanage, but my grandma Katie was adopted by the family she worked for. I would love to find out more info about this wonderful women I was blessed to know and love.
