ENON VALLEY, PA. - Olga Papach, 89, of state Route 351, passed away at 11:45 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at Covington Community Campus, where she had resided for the past 14 months.
Mrs. Papach was born May 19, 1922, a daughter of the late Frank and Eugenia Levchenko Belieff.
She was a graduate of Wilson High School of Youngstown, Ohio and had resided in Austintown, Ohio until 1956, when she and her husband had moved to their Enon Valley farm. She had at one time been employed as a secretary for the former U.S. Steel, but had primarily been a homemaker, after the birth of her children.
Mrs. Papach was a member of the Nativity of Christ Russian Orthodox Church in Youngstown, Ohio.
Her husband, John Frank Papach, whom she married on Aug. 10, 1947, preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 2005.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Anastasia “Stella” Belieff; two brothers, Alex and Samuel Belieff; as well as a grandson.
She is survived by a son, John (Robin) Papach of Enon Valley, Ohio and three daughters, Linda “Lydia” (John) McNicol of Guilford Lake, Olga Jean Papach and Beverly (Dr. John) Kolehmainen, both of Enon Valley.
Mrs. Papach also leaves seven grandchildren, Dr. William Kolehmainen, Lydia (Mark) Arnold, Natalie Kolehmainen, Jessica (Greg) Hennon, Larissa (Justin) Conner, Kristen (Richie) Mulzet, and Stephanie Papach, and three great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held at her church with burial following at Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio.
Arrangements were with the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home in East Palestine, Ohio.
The family has requested that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to her church, Nativity of Christ Russian Orthodox Church, 727 Miller St., Youngstown, OH 44502.
