My mother, her 3 sisters and one brother are all from the Paoletti family. My grandfather came from Monte Fiascone, Italy. He settled in Philadelphia, where he met my grandmom Veronica Pagliarini from Ascoli. Could we be distant relatives? I know I still have family in Italy. My parents went to visit them in the late '70s.

Mary, read your message, sorry so late, was moving. As far as I know Julio Paoletti, my faternal grandfather was from Asti Piccioli Amandola Brizzi (sp) Italy. He had about four brothers and I think they settled in Massachusetts, the outskirts of Boston. All were in brick and cement work and built houses, etc. My Grandfather married a Vincenza Tentoni from the same region, I believe.

Dear Bernadette:

Thank you so much for your response. I just came back from our Paoletti reunion where my uncle told a 3-page history of the story of my family. It was so great! I found out my grandfather was from Monte Fiascone, Italy and my grandmother was from Ascoli Piccena, Italy. Who knows? We are probably related afar off. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the response, sounds like you were enlightened by your family history. I have a distant cousin (Paoletti) that I will get in touch wtih. She visited our relatives in Italy and I will let you know the where's and what's. If I don't correspond with you between now and the holiday, Bueno Natale(sp) to you and your family.

Hello,

Thanks! I look forward to hearing about your distant (Paoletti) cousin. For the sake of information, my grandmother was a Pagliarini and she married a Paoletti and had 5 Paoletti children (one was my mother). Her mother was a Benigni.

Take care,

Mary

Happy New Year! I was glad to hear from you. I am going to try the web site you suggested. My grandmom Veronica, who married my grandpop Paoletti, is on the history wall at Ellis Island also. You and I have such a great history. The older I get, the more I love my culture. The art, music, etc.

Take care.
