I've been comparing trees and I'm confused.
My great grandfather Joseph Gilbert Palmer Feb 06 1877 his sister Sophia ( Minnie) was born the same year Oct 1877. He has put himself down as French and I know for sure his wife Mary Elizabeth McCreary spoke french and english because her daughter is still living. William John (father) and Mary Anne Armstrong lived in Hungerford, does anyone know if they spoke french? John D Palmer b. 1813 + Sophia Walsh on the 1871 census he says he is Dutch on the 1881 he says he is French. I can't see where the Palmers were in Quebec on these trees. Thanks for any help.
