Hello:

My g-g-grandmother's (Rachel Hampton HATHAWAY McKAY) 1894 obituary notes her children by name or initials. All the sons are accounted for, but I'm having difficulty with the daughters.

Rachel had four daughters: Jelina Ann (1833); Mary Jane (1838); Eveline (1843) (these with husband Artemas HATHAWAY); Adaline/Adeline (1846, with husband George McKAY).

The obit notes three daughters: "Mrs. A.H. PALMER of Watsonville, Calif," "Mrs. Mary J. McCREA of San Diego, Calif," Mrs. A.J. WEAVER of Darlington, Wisc."

I've identified McCREA (Mary Jane) and WEAVER (Adeline), but have no idea about PALMER.

Although the obit seems to note the person's name/initials, they might very well be the husband's initials.

As I have no idea what happened to Jelina Ann or Eveline, I have only this obit to work with.
