i am doing a family search of palmer. im looking to find out the parents names of james pearce palmer born in devon england 1828. his parents had a farm. his father was a sea captain who sailed between plymouth and australia but disappeared. james married a girl named elizabeth ruff. in and around 1840-1850 james left england from liverpool to canada . lived in victoria north in ontario. he died in 1918 in ontario. anyone who can help me please do so. thank you
