My father was Ricardo Palacios Sr. and Luz Medrano Palacios. Both of them were from the State of Chihuahua, Mexico. Ricardo was from San Andres, chih., and Luz was from Parral. Ricardo was born in 1894 and migrated to El Paso, Texas in 1914. All of Ricardo's decendents appear to be from San Andres and Hacienda de San Juan. Most of the Palacios from are side of the family now mostly reside in El Paso, Texas, and Sacramento, California. I myself live in Austin, Texas. If these info relates to your data let me know and I will give you more specifics.

My father: Jose Fernando Palacios, born in
Nombre de Dios, Chihuiahua, Mexico, 5-30-12.
His Father and mother: Lorenzo Palacios and
Juana Vaquera. His paternal grandfather wife: Benigno Palacios Luisa Loya. His
maternal grandfather grandmother: Feliz Vaquera Juliana Palacios. Lorenzo Palacios
(my father's father) had two wives, Juana
being the second. He had many children with
both wives. Juana died about 1916. Then
the family imigrated to the United States about 1918 or so---during the Mexican Revolutionary War. They eventually settled
in New Mexico. The name of the town escapes
me now. Most of children of Lorenzo and Juana now live in San Jose, California

Palacios Relation

Cristina Palacios Rodriguez-Reynoso (View posts)

Hi Esther.

My name is Cristina Rodriguez-Reynoso. My mother is a Palacios. Let me tell you how the relationship is connected:

Emilia Palacios is my mother. Her parents are Juan and Magdelena Palacios. Magdelena Palacios is the daughter of Bruno Palacios and Nestora Calderon, who married on 5-20-1875. Bruno Palacios is the son of Benigno Palacios and Luisa Loya. Now, my grandfather is Juan Palacios, who is the son of Guillermo Palacios and Pantalonia. Guillermois the son of Benigno Palacios and Luisa Loya. As you guessed it by now, Guillermo and Bruno are brothers, which makes my grandparents first cousins. I have a cousin by the name of Dolores (Lola) Palacios-Spar and her husband's name is Michael. Anyway, the story goes like this, she had ran into someone and they just stared at each other and then asked each other if they were a Palacios. The answer was yes on both parts and that person had informed her that there was going to be a Palacios reunion. She attended the reunion there in San Jose and met a lot of relatives. She was given a copy of a book called "PALACIOS - A FAMILY HISTORY," created for 1st Palacios Family Reunion, dated August 15, 1992. I made a copy of this book and as it turns out we are related. My cousin Lola's father was Roberto Palacios. He passed away a few years ago. My mother, Emilia, passed away on August 5, 1999. She was 73 years old. I know that my grandparents were outcast of the Palacios family. We think because they were first cousins. Another Palacios relation has found me through the internet. His name is Nicolas Palacios. He was named after his grandfather. Nico's father is Ricardo Palacios. Nico's grandfather, Nicolas, is son of Benigo Palacios and Luisa Loya, which would make Lorenzo Palacios amd Nicolas Palacios brothers. I sent him a copy of the book and he is showing it to the family in El Paso. He stated that his grandfather did not have any pictures of his family, and the pictures in the book were as close as he was going to get. Most of the Palacios relations that I know about are in El Paso. When you write back to me I will send you copies of the e-mails from Nicolas. I hope you answer soon. Sincerely, Cristina Palacios Rodriguez-Reynoso.

Dear Esther: I found out about you through contact via the internet with Ronnie and Cristina Rodriquez-Reynosa. I read Cristina's reply to your message where she also tells you who I am. Cristina sent me a copy of the Palacios Family Book that she refers to in her message. Cristina was very gracious in sending a copy. I have subsequently made another copy and sent it to my brothers and sisters in El Paso, Texas. In their rely to me, one of my older brothers (in his mid 70's) recalls some of the names mentioned in the book. It appears that my father, Ricardo Palacios, and your father (Jose Fernando Palacios) were 1st cousins. My paternal grandfather was Nicolas (I was named after him). Nicolas and Lorenzo were brothers (there were several brothers and sisters...will sent you names later). Benigno Palacios and Luisa Loya were my great grand parents. It is a small world isn't it? Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am 59 years young and married to Maria De Jesus (from Chihuahua City, Mexico). Have been married 32 years and we live in Austin, Texas. We have four daughters ages 22-31. Let me know a little bit about yourself, sent me your address and e-mail and I will share some more information with you. I work near the Archives Building so during lunch I have been browsing around and looking at Death Records in Texas under the Palacios name. I have made copies for the period from 1904-1945. I will be making additional copies and will be sending them to Cristina and you if you are interested. So far I have been able to recognize several names that Cristina mentions in here book of relatives that died in El Paso...for example Bruno and Nestora Calderon.
