Greetings

I am not sure if we are looking for the same family.....but the pronounciation of the name is similar.
I am looking for our family 'Pachonick' which I believe was originally spelt 'Pachonik' and from Saubsdorf ( Bohemia -
Austo-Hungarian Empire) now called Supikovice - Jesenik - Jeseniky Province of the Czech Republic.
I have searched under the surname section on RootsWeb.com but am unable to find our spelling but came accross yours.
Please let me know when you receive this e-mail.
Many thanks

My maiden name was Pachonick and as far as I know our family were from the 'old' Bohemia area. Perhaps the same family.
Please contact me when you receive this e-mail.

Many thanks

Louise (Pachonick) Childs

ps...the spelling is probably different

Hi

I have managed through a website; "Czeching out our Anestors", to find outa little more about where my family originally came from and who they were. The name was spelt Pachonik and there are many Pachoniks in Germany today. What I want to find out is what the origins of the name are. Is it Czechoslovakian or is it a Polish name ? If anyone is abale to shed light on the matter I would like to hear from them. Regards

Carl Pachonik

My husband's father was from Ukraine, that used to be Hungary before World War II. He then later moved to Riga, Latvia. Which during the time he moved it was the Soviet Union.

We have some relatives in the United States, but I don't know anything about them, or where they are.
