Hey, I think we are related! Your message is old, so I hope you are still checking in and will see this response sometime. I was born Carol Wleklinski and grew up outside of Chicago. My grandparents on my dad's side were Joseph Casimir Wleklinski and his wife, Anna Pajak. I have done lots of research on the Wleklinski side and the my husband's family (Luddecke), but I have never -- until now -- attempted to find out anything about the Pajaks. From working on my Wleklinski family tree, I know that my grandmother was born in Sayersville, NJ, in 1894. I'm going to guess that she was the daughter of Joseph and Catherine. That means you were more than likely a cousin of my father, Joe Wleklinski. (He pass away in 2001.) Nice to "meet" you!

BTW, what are your parent's names? And do you recall having an Aunt Anna? Do you have siblings? Do you know if Anna and your dad (was he her brother?) had any other siblings? Feel free to write to me directly at carol at luddecke dot com.

Hi Joe,
Yes we are related. In fact, you and I communicated on this very board years ago --- almost 6 years ago. You were kind enough to send me some information, which I have to confess I haven't had a chance to look at yet. I was on a big roll with my geneaology stuff, but then got busy with other stuff. I keep doing this in spurts and starts. Are you registered on geni.com? Send me your email address and I'll include you on the family tree I started there.

Hello, my name is Michelle Baron and I am researching my family. I believe my grandmother's (Michalina Baron)sister married into the Payonk (Pajak) family. I believe her name was Mary. I have found a telegram from 1931 sent from Mary Pajak to my grandmother stating to come at once ma died. My family is from North Hammond, Indiana and Illinois. My grandmother was married to John J. Baron. Any help would be greatly appreciated, or if you need any further information to determine if the families are connected please ask. I am just beginning my research, and am willing to share what information I have if it will help. Thank you.

Hello, I responded early about being related to the Payonk family and seeking information. I have done some more research and know that my grandmother's sister Mary Gruczewicz married a John Payonk and they had a child Joseph Payonk. Could you be this Joseph Payonk?

Yes, I am that Joseph Payonk. My Grandmother(frances Gruczewicz) had 3 daughters and 1 son(wALTER). The daughters were Michaeline(Aunt Minnie), Mary(my mother) and Aunt Stella. Aunt Minnie must be your grandmother. Casimir Baron must be your father.
Would be glad to exchange information with you about the family. I live in St. John, IN and am retired so i spend a lot of time researchinf our families.
