Hello Nigel,

I wanted to note that your reference to the www.easternassociation.com site is a link to a novel and should not be used for research purposes. I am a decendant of Nathaniel Paige b. about 1645, and am still looking for documentation of his parents and location in England before immigrating to America. If you find anything, please let me know.

Thank you,
John W. Paige, III

Hi John

Thank you for yours... yes I took a few days or weeks to realise that was the case...there are some american sources which suggest that a 17th.C. Nathaniel was a brother of Colonel Nicholas Paige who was a very well known citizen of Boston between about 1680 qnd 1720 but I have seen no evidence of that. Nicholas was definitely from the Plymouth Paiges who were well known merchants and occasionally Mayors of Plymouth from 1460 ish onwards and he refers to a William Paige as a cousin in London which also fits in with my researches. I expect you know the colourful life story of Nicholas and his wife already but if not I will send you the sources and the chapter of the book I am writing which deals with his career. It seems he left no descendants
I hope we shall keep in touch ...at some stage I will provide a DNA sample so that the link with our our american cousins can be proved or otherwise.
Best regards, William.
