I'm researching Peter Pahl from Baden Germany who emigrated to America in 1834 and who ultimately settled in Ohio. Would be glad to share info. Also, would like to know the Michigan connection to this line of Pahl's.

Sorry I can't help you with any MI connections, but would appreciate any info on Peter and Lena going backwards. My great grandmother was Rosa Pahl, daughter of Francis Pahl and Mary Ann (Maria Anna) Simonis and granddaughter of Peter Pahl, Lena Wemerd(Wernard?), John Simonis and Mary Kling.

Thanks

Let's correct a couple of long-standing errors. Peter Pahl's wife was Lena (Helena) Pahl (4th cousin). Peter Pahl's mother was Lena (Magdalena) Weimer Pahl. You can see why the confusion. The Pahls are from Kuhlsheim, Baden, Germany - not Piltshire, Germany . There is no such place, nor was there ever such a place. Probably a mishearing of oral tradition.
