Benvenuti a tutti,

I am looking for the brothers and sisters of my great-grandfather whose name was Biagio Pagano. I'm first generation Italian-American and my father(Ugo) came from Ponza, Italy. His father (Biagio) and His father also (Biagio) came from Ponza. My great-grandfather's father was named Donantonio Pagano who married a Restituta Tagliamonte. This is as far back as I can go. My great-grandfather had as brothers: Sabato, Camine, Cosmo, amd Guiseppe. He had as Sisters: Emanuelle, Ellena, Rachele. If their is a link post your message on this Message Board. It would be great to meet some family Pagano's. I did find a cousin in West Palm Beach Florida. I was told that we originated in Naples and moved to Teracina and then to Ponza the island above Iscia. Ciao, Silverio Pagano

I can't help you, but maybe you can help me.
My greatgrandfather was Guiseppi Pagano. We never knew him because he was killed--my mother said from being kicked by a horse--in Brooklyn, probably in the early 1900s. He was married to Rosa Sarli who moved with the three children, Anna, Marco and Antonetta, to Wyoming and then to Colorado where I am from--granddaugher of Anna. I would like to know more than this about the Pagano relatives so if any of this matches your family, please reply.

Hi Cheryl,

I got in touch with an Anna Pagano who lived in New York. On the side of our family my great, great uncle Carmine Pagano there was also Guiseppi Pagano but I not sure what his wife's name was. Anna had told me that she was related to my side of Carmine Pagano. How far back do you know of your family heritage? Let me know what you can find out.

Ciao, Silverio

Hi Silverio
Thanks for the info. I will check the few
family documents when I go to my hometown in May. I know almost nothing about our Pagano
family because my greatgrandmother remarried after Guiseppe died in NY-Brooklyn-and we only grew up with the second family. One of my great aunts, born a Pagano, named her sons
Carmine and Donny, so I will try to check out where our Paganos came from in Italy, since I see that these names are in your family too.

Hi Cheryl again!

See if you can find a date of death on Guiseppi Pagano. Was the Anna that I spoke of the same? When we e-mailed each other she said she remembers these names from her family talking about them. This is pretty cool to find a possible relative!!
Talk to soon.

Ciao, Silverio

Hi Siverio,
The Anna can't be the same, because my grandmother, daughter of Guiseppe, died in 1965, but again I am interested because I suspect that if the same first names are passed down, there might be a link. The other chidren of Guiseppe were Marco and Antonetta. I will try to check out the approximate date of death of Guiseppe--I don't have a death record, but I can probaby figure it out from other records. It will take a while because my records are in my mother's home and I won't get there until next month. I'll let your know and thanks again. Cheryl

I have a mysterious anscestor (my great grandmother) who nobody seems to know much about. Her last name is listed as Pagano (first name is Gene/Jean) on some documents and Fresckas/Freskas on others. We know she didn't write well. What I know for sure is that she married my great grandfather James Manuel Aceves in Mesa Co., Colorado and may have been born in Pueblo, CO.

It's a long shot, but does this ring a bell for anyone?

Thanks!

Do you have an uncle (or maybe great uncle) named Nicola Pagano? He was my great grandfather. His father was also named Biagio. He (nicola) had a brother named Biagio also--who came to america and lived in Crystal City, MO....your father? I can't imagine that there is another set of Biagio Pagano fathers and sons on such a small island. Ponza is beautiful. We're lucky to have roots there!

Nicola Pagano in Crystal City was my great-uncle! He was my grandfather's brother. That would make us cousins! My father was Biagio Pagano's son Ugo Pagano. He worked at FW Harder Co. in Crystal City. He had a brother named Tony who owned Ponza Pizzaria in Crystal City. That would make you either Nicola Pagano's son Silverio's daughters kid or Nicola Pagano's other son Bill's kids kid. It's great to run into a Pagano Family cousin!! E-mail me back. I would love to have you e-mail me. Ciao, Silverio
