Hi! I was checking this message thread on a whim and found your reply. This is really fascinating, since my grandmother (Phyllis Pommier - born Phyllis Aceves) doesn't know much about her mother's family. I will have to track down Gene Pagano's birth date and get back to you. You can email me separately if you like at c.pommier@yahoo.com. Thanks again.

Hi, I'm a 2nd cousin of Chris Pommier, whom I have just found. :). He has previously contacted you about my grandmother, his great-grandmother.

This is regarding my grandmother Jean Freskas, Frescas, Fresquis Pagano who was born in Colorado, November 27, 1885. She died in Santa Clara, CA, August 3, 1964.

She married my grandfather James Manuel Aceves in Colorado. It might have been in Mesa or Junction, CO.

Her first name, Jean, was the name that she used as far back as the family can remember. I heard from an aunt that the first name could have been Gene or Eugenia. That was a guess, however., when we couldn't find any information about her, using her name.

When I was a child, she told me that she was an "Indian", but we couldn't see her feathers. I didn't believe her, nor did I not believe her.

She had a twin sister.

One one document, her race was listed as, "Red American." My aunt told me that Jean's father was a short, squat, dark Indian. She also, said that grandma's mother had white, blond hair. I don't know if that's a reality or not.

Any and all help that you can give me would be so greatly appreciated. Grandma's history is a mystery.

Thank you ever so much.

Hi Spagano184-
I was wondering if I could talk to you about the Pueblo Pagano's? You are related to my husband, and I am very interested in possibly seeing the tree you mentioned. I cannot contact you directly, as I don't have a paid account. Hopefully you will get this!

Thanks!
