Searching for information on relatives of George Pagac, my grandfather, and his family. I know very little about this man, as both his son's are runaways. George Pagac was born approx 1916 in Youngstown, OH area. Married Rose Hiag (spelling?) who died in appox 1955. George died in late 1966/1967. George was a WWII Naval veteran, serving in Pearl Harbor Pacific.

As my father came from a difficult childhood, I don't know of any relatives aside from my uncle, also George Pagac, and his two children. I also know little of family background heritage.

We have always lived in the Detroit area. Both George and Rose also died in Detroit area.

I am grateful for any information available.

Just read your enquiry.
My mum's maiden name was Pagac. We migrated from Slovakia to Australia in 1984.
My grandpa Rudolf is still alive, 94, his father did go to the US in early 20th century. That's all I know for now. I can ask around if toy want.

My family came to the US in the early 20th century. They came from Cherveny Kamen, which is in Slovakia. To Miriam: Do you know what your grandfather's father's name was?
