I've separate Paff and Cadwallader questions....
I have a William Paff who was born circa 1790 (I believe in Bucks Co.) who married a Phebe Howell in NJ Nov 1822 but lived in Lower Makefield, PA..this much is confirmed. I'm trying to go back in time to uncover the father of William. I have a family history letter indicating that in Baden-Baden Germany there was a William Paff (Pfaff) who had three sons,Henry, William and possibly John who came to fight in the Revolutionary War (Hessians?). I thought it was going to be easy through Familysearch to figure this out..but no! I'm wondering how much of this story is true! Further, I'm wondering if Henry is the father..in browsing through records on this site that Trinity Union Reform Church (not sure precisely where this church is located) has info that a Henry and Magdalena Paff are parents of three children born and baptized in 1784, 1788 and a John Henry born in 1785..so this is possibly the John Paff above??

Re the Cadwalladers..I have a Caroline Cadwallader in my tree...I'm not sure that she's the one in your very wonderful, detailed tree...she was born approx Dec 1830 and married Abraham Kinsey Slack 20 Sep 1853...all the family names are similar...Jacob the father Cyrus the grandfather but I think this family lived in Hopewell , NJ..Do you have any knowledge of this branch and if it is a separate one?
