Re: William PADBURY - b 1804 England
The 1881 UK census has just this one:
William PADBURY Male Birth Year <1803> Birthplace Oxford, England Age 78 Occupation Blacksmith Marital Status M <Married> Relationship to Head of Household: Inmate ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * Institution "Oxford Workhouse" Cowley Road Oxford Census Place Oxford St Clement, Oxford, England Family History Library Film 1341362 Public Records Office Reference RG11 Piece / Folio 1500 / 85 Page Number 6
There were two more, slightly younger, one born in Warwickshire and the other in Devon.
Hope this helps? ~ Jill

Re: William PADBURY b. MDX
Hello Jill, Since first posting this query I have discovered that William was born in Middlesex.(this from the 1851 census) I have not discovered which parish though. William died in 1874 in Surrey. Many thanks for taking the time to search for him, I do appreciate it. Dorothy

Glad you found him then! Since my Padbury family were from across the river in Camberwell, if you know any more, do tell. Perhaps there's a connection somewhere? See my previous post?

I'm looking for a William Padbury, born 1799 in England. Would have married an Elizabeth Palmer, born 1803. Immigrated to America in the 1800's and started a family here. Would you have info? I would appreciate very much any information you might have on him.
