Where in Germany are you?
Hi Peter, Where in Germany are you from? My family is looking into where my Grandfather and Grandmother came from. Is anyone in your family familar with the name Louis Patberg or Sophia Frihse Patberg in the United States? My grandmother's brother also from Germany his name was Paul Frihse and his wife name was Ella. My grandmother's family use to own a factory in the black forest but the germans took it over. Any response from you or anyone with information would be GREAT!!! Hope to hear from you soon. Take care. Eileen Patberg Martini

Re: Where in Germany are you?
Hi! I am from Hameln in Germany.

I am Paul L. Frihse, my father was Paul W. Frihse, and my mother was Elly (Ella) Frihse. My aunt was Sophie Patberg (Paul W's sister), and her husband Louis Patberg (Ella's 1st cousin) was my 2nd cousin & Uncle through marriage to Sophie. Not sure about that factory story in the black forest, your grandmothers father William Frihse (My grandfather) used to manage a water plant in Dortmund, Germany.I have the "Frihse" family tree going back to the year 1320. I currently live in Atlanta, Georgia. If interested further you can contact me @ my home (770)-889-2296.
