HI:

I JUST HAPPENED TO BE CRUISING THE WEB AND I SEEN YOUR MESSAGE ON ANCESTRY.COM RELATING TO THE "PACACHA" FROM 2001. I JUST THOUGHT YOU MIGHT FIND THE FOLLOWING INTERESTING:

1-FATHER JOSEPH PACACHA IS MY UNCLE
2-GEORGE (HIS BROTHER) IS MY FATHER
3- KATHERINE (MAIDEN NAME SEMAN) WAS MY GRANDMOTHER (DECEASED 1990).

I CURRENTLY LIVE IN DUTCHESS COUNTY, NY. THE ONLY OTHER PACACHA MALE LEFT IS MY SON GEORGE A. PACACHA JR. BECAUSE FRANK PACACHA'S SON (DECEASED 1993) SON FRANK JR IS NOT CURRENTLY MARRIED, MY SON IS THE ONLY MALE LEFT TO CARRY ON THE NAME. I WOULD WELCOME THE OPPORTUNITY TO HEAR FROM YOU.

Surnames: Seman, Holub,
I can't believe it has taken me so long to see this message. I have been doing genealogy on and off over the years.

My grandfather( father's father) Stephen J Holub was the son of John Holub Jan 28, 1878 -1939 and Mary Jurik born in Kosfalu now known as Kostolec village in Slovakia he married Marie Seman b 1882- 1966. they were married in NYC Jan 26, 1902. Her parents were Andrej Seman(Szeman) and Maria Marcincin Latcko? I believe Marie was the youngest of the Seman children she was my ggrandmother. The only information I was able to gather was from death certificates and boat records. The Semans were from Nizny Sebes or Nizna Sebestova Slovakia. I've been searching the non-indexed LDS Slovakian microfilm and was wondering if you by any chance knew any more information or even different information about what the village they came from? I also have a picture and would like to verify if they are Semans or not. Thanks so much. please send email to kastringer@gmail.com

Thanks
Kathy

Hello,
I am 100% Polish 3rd generation American. My grandfather was Benigny(spelling?) Pacacha and came to America around 1910. He settled in Duquesne, Pa., married Mary Pacek, worked in the steel mill, had 12 children, one of which was my father Steve. I understand from my brother Gregory there are many Pacachas in the New Jersey area of Bayonne. I've never had the opportunity to meet them, but would like to someday. My family performs with PA'S Slovak Folk Ensemble in mOnroeville, Pa. and we travel to many places in the USA to dance & sing. pasfolkensemble.com

Joe
