I am trying to locate my family history also. I believe there may some relation. Some of the information that I have is a little vague and there is a lot of missing information. I would be extremely grateful if you or someone else can possibly help us peice together the missing information and we can find our "missing family".
My grandmother was killed when my mother was 2 years old. Her and 2 of her sisters were sent away for adoption. My mother found her father (Johan or Hans Henning Paasch) when she was in her twenties, but she never found her two sisters or any other family member. It is rumored that my mother has an "illigitimate" older brother, but she has never met him, and knows nothing of him.
My mother's name was nee Rena Patricia Paasch. She was born 12/12/55.
She was the youngest of 2 sisters and they were:
*Claudia Celina Paasch born March,1952
*Anne Gesa Paasch born June,1953
The mother's(My grandmother) name was Lauretta Marie Jeanette Paasch nee Guay.
Hans Henning Paasch (My grandfather) passed away January 5,1995. He was born in Brooklyn on July 21,1927.
His tomb stone read:
"Hans
Henning
Paasch
EN1
Korea
Jul 21 1927
Jan 5 1995"

His mother's name (She did not marry) was (I apologize for I am not sure of the exact spelling. I will eventually retrieve the information from my mother. She has some imigration documents from Germany)
Catherina or Caterina Henning Paasch (Her mother's name may have been Johanna)
She was born in Hamburg, Germany and came to America as a young, edjucated women in the 1920's.
My mother described her as being a "flapper" or a "liberated women".
She lived in Brooklyn much of her life and was buried there.
She may have lived in Suffolk part of her life.
She was a Lutheran
May be one of 7 or 8 children (common during the time).
She was a midwife before she came to the united states.
Her nickname was "Henny".
She was "Prussian".
Her father may have been a "steam fitter" in Hamburg, Germany.

The original family name (In Germany) may have been Va Paasch. They may have been "royal ship builders".

My great-great grandfather may be Omer Guay, which may have been "Meteteranian, French" or "Turkish". We believe he was from Turkey.

My mother (Her adopted name is Karen Elaine Wells and her "revised" birthdate is 12/05/55). She married Ken Guy Farley in 1976 and (got divorced in 1990 or 89) and remarried in 1994 or 95 to Craig Steven Gilbert. She is now Karen Elaine Gilbert.

She named me and my sister after Her and her sister. MY middle name is Patricia and my sister's middle name is Jeannette.

You can contact me through e-mail. either at Motero@gateway.com or Nelliefar@yahoo.com
Hopefully I will have more information then.
Thankyou,
Eleanor Rousso (Farley)

Hello,

I recently discovered Paasch relatives. Frederich Paasch (b. @ 1811 in Oldenburg) and his son George Paasch (b. @ 1842 in Prussia) lived in NYC in 1880. George's wife was Annie, and their children were at least Annie and George. Annie the daughter went on to marry Charles Wirtz in NJ. Frederich's wife may have been Katerina, but I have no confirmation of that. Does any of that match up with what you have?

Looking for Eleanor Rousso or Karen Elaine Wells Farley Gilbert. According to my adoption papers, I am Claudia Paasch. I was born in March, 1953. Karen would be my youngest sister and Eleanor would be my niece. Eleanor first posted a message looking for me 9 Nov 1999.

Hello, I sent an email to the email address you listed. I am a foster sister of Anne and Claudia Paasch, but have not seen them since around 1958. I know they were adopted and I saw the post that Debbie (Claudia) posted earlier this year. I hope you all find each other. I too had a sister that had been adopted years ago and was reunited about 20 years ago now. Wow, its amazing how things turn out. I know that Hans went to prison for killing his wife. I remember that from when I was a little girl.
