Looking for family of Jan Franciszek Ozga (maybe Ożga)who perished in 1944 in an aircraft shot down over Poland by the Luftwaffe.
Jan was a sergeant/radio-operator in the Polish Air Force, engaged in supply missions from a base in Italy (Brindisi) to the Warsaw Uprising, as part of Special Duties Squadron 1586.
He was born in Brody, formerly Eastern Poland now Ukraine, to Stanisław and Maria. A married sister was Zofia Popiel, also a resident of Brody at the outbreak of war in 1939.
A monument is being dedicated to the crew of this aircraft in August 2009 in Poland at the crash site.
Looking for family of this brave man.
