Owca is also my madian name and it means sheep in Polish. Please contact me. mccannrobert@att.net I would like to know more about your wife were is she from and who her parents were. I have the Owca line back to the early 1700's. I have been to Poland and have visited where some of our family still live.

Thanks to you both... I am sure that the Polish ancestry is correct as she was born in Illinois and moved to Washington.
One of the relatives she knows said the name meant some sort of animal...I guess they were farmers back in Poland.
It would be nice to find out if her father was still alive and any relatives in the US or overseas.
